Can't connect via VNC

Sometimes the VNC server from macOS gets in an unresponsive state and you get e.g. a timeout when you try to connect via your VNC client. Unfortunately Apple made the macOS VNC server not as stable as it should be, due that fact we also recommend to use other remote access methods.

If you still want to use the build in VNC server we recommend to restart the server via SSH if a VNC connection isn’t possible. As a SSH client you can e.g. use Putty. After you are connected to the server just use the command "sudo shutdown -r now" to restart the server.
